Elegance and class are the words that spring to mind when talking about Mercedes cars. New, Used or Prototype, you are guaranteed to have a beautifully manufactured vehicle. From the CLK range to the SLK range, Mercedes has it all. Many are led to believe that although elegant and easy on the eye that the people at Mercedes cannot produce razor sharp cars that would attract the higher end of sports car buying. Well they are wrong. The SLR in my opinion can compete with virtually any car currently out there in the market. I describe it as being a cross between a Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston Martin and a BMW all rolled into one! The fact is that the SLR is truly a magnificent vehicle and one that has a price tag to match. The thing about used Mercedes cars is that whilst they are undoubtedly aimed at the older generation of drivers, they do in fact cater for all. The belief among many, as mentioned above is that due to their vehicles being quite expensive top end, the company only caters for the more sophisticated of drivers. Reports today suggest that upwards of twenty million pounds will be spent on trying to introduce electric used vans onto the nations’ roads. This is being promised by government officials as a way of creating a better environment by having vehicles that provide better pollution levels. It is all part of the UK trying to meet the target for cutting carbon emissions and putting less reliance on oil / fuel.
