Electric Vans
Reports today suggest that upwards of twenty million pounds will be spent on trying to introduce electric used vans onto the nations’ roads. This is being promised by government officials as a way of creating a better environment by having vehicles that provide better pollution levels. It is all part of the UK trying to meet the target for cutting carbon emissions and putting less reliance on oil / fuel. With the way things are going, the idea of electric vans operating frequently throughout the country and worldwide does not seem as farfetched as it once did.
With technology improving at such a vast pace and with environmentalist protesting so effortlessly, things could begin sooner than we may think. Supposedly van manufacturers such as Mercedes, Nissan and Ford are those who will begin to offer such vans to the public and local governments sometime next year. It is believed that operations are already well under way and so some press releases by the van manufacturers are expected to be released in the near future. Overall, I think such things will not only be of huge benefit for the environment but also drivers who will be able to operate their vehicles without the worry of petrol prices etc.
