Vauxhall VXR8 – A Thunderous Vehicle
Very much out of the ordinary for a Vauxhall design, the VXR8 provides no excuse for being a world class performing Saloon. With its 6.0 litre V8 engine, 417 PS (@ 6,000 rpm) and a 0 to 60 mph ratio of only 4.9 seconds, it is clear to see what a powerful and thunderous vehicle this really is. And to match its performance in the speed department, Vauxhall have offered drivers the luxury of a world class braking system that enables the unit to come to a halt in just over 35 metres (from a speed of 60 mph). What really makes the vehicle stand out from other used Vauxhall models in the current range and past is its exterior appearance, which give the look and feel of a genuine rally car – that would not look out of place on the racetrack. The “muscle car”, as described by Vauxhall, is something totally out of the ordinary and is definitely something for the boys. The cars’ engine features include cast steel roller arms and roller cam followers, aluminium alloy cylinder block and cross bolted 5 main bearings (with 6 blots per bearing cap). But it is not only the muscular look and the powerful engine that make the new and used Vauxhall VXR8 such a special vehicle; the features incorporated into the inside of the car are equally impressive. Some of the features available include a centre console storage department, chrome door handles, sports steering wheel, LCD colour display and electronic climate control. So with all of these features available, the VXR8 is a vehicle that is well equipped to deal with the day to day challenges of the road and, as noted above, its speed and overall visual looks, mean that it would also be worthy of a place on the racetrack.

That’s one great car. Vauxhall should seriously continue to go this direction of car designs.
Never would’ve thought the Vauxhall will introduce something that spectacular.
It’s pretty, but not pompous. And that v8 engine, ahh…
